Pantry
My husband is an excellent cook, but in recent years we’ve fallen out of love with constantly trying new recipes. Or really, any recipes.
Actually, we don’t even really eat structured meals, we simply eat when we’re hungry, and we eat simply. Girl dinner, I guess. Our fridge and coat closet (pantries are not a thing in tiny NYC apartments) are stocked with just a few favorite items for when we get hungry.
Inspired by Alana Goyal.
Isigny Ste Mère Butter, Salted
Maldon Sea Salt
Triscuits
Fresh salmon
Sherry vinegar
Lemons
Pecorino Romano DOP
Parmigiano Reggiano DOP
Driscoll Sweetest Batch berries
Pepper jack string cheese
Garlic/onions
Honeycrisp apples
Broccoli
Greens
Frozen cherries
Seasonal fruits/vegetables
The above makes up about 95% of our diet, the exception being my occasional hankering for the Americanized, ground beef tacos of my childhood. I put ranch dressing on them.
