Watch List

I’m not really one to come to for tv/movie recommendations. I’m more of a reader than a watcher, and when I do watch, I’m pretty much always rewatching. I have a few shows and movies I never get sick of—mostly the latter, I prefer tv shows to movies, I always feel like I’m revisiting old friends, and get to hang out with them for awhile.

And I don’t understand the appeal of “drama” as a tv genre. I’ve tried Mad Men, Succession, The Sopranos, Ozark, and don’t get the appeal. Like, you just want me to tune in and watch these people’s messed-up lives? …” Pass.

I like comedies, mostly. I love procedurals, but only ones that don’t take themselves too seriously (get outta here, SVU). I like a bit of light-heartedness mingled in, even better if there’s a romance or bromance.
