Series Overview
Stiletto
You may also enjoy Oxford—technically a spin-off of Stiletto, but I think of them as one big series!
Behind the Series
Shortly after finishing my first novel, I moved to New York City. After six months of querying literary agents, I signed with Nicole in 2012, and she was able to very quickly get two offers on Only With You. We decided to accept the offer with Grand Central, because they offered a paperback component, but an ebook-only imprint of Penguin Random House was still interested, and asked if I had anything else.
I did not. But Nicole gently suggested it might be wise to come up with something—quick. Because I moved to NYC without having ever visited, I watched a lot of Sex and the City while packing up my life in Seattle. I love the show, but have always wanted it to be just a little bit more romantic. So I thought, “what if Carrie had a job with a magazine instead of a newspaper article … and what if all of her best friends worked at that same magazine, and also wrote about love and relationships … and what if they all found happily-ever-after instead of all that other nonsense…”
I wrote After the Kiss in just a couple weeks, and pitched it along with two other books to Penguin Random House. They made an offer, I accepted, and Stiletto went on to become the hallmark of my entire career.
Quick Facts
You don’t have to read them in order, but they do build on each other, especially as it relates to the group friendship.
These are steamy, with explicit sex scenes.
These are all written in third person.
They are unfortunately not available in paperback or print form. This is the publisher’s decision.
“Reads like a sexy version of FRIENDS.”
